Art: Jane Burt.

profile

Statement

I studied at Plymouth College of Art and Design and have exhibited throughout the South West of England, South Wales, Brittany and Switzerland.  My work is held in both private and public collections. I also sell my work internationally through a well know Graphics company.

I have created many installation pieces and took part in the South West of England Sculpture trail for many years. I enjoy creating sculpture using wax and bronze and recycled 'found' objects.  Living in Switzerland it is hard not to be moved by the beautiful landscape and this has led me to produce mountain scapes, trees and flower paintings.

My Swiss studio in Leysin is where all of my work is completed.  Working in this converted 'atelier' close to Lake Geneva and the Swiss Alps gives me the space and freedom to express and complete my work. I enjoy the quiet of this mountain village and celebrate all the friends and acquaintences that share my living and working space.  Every day is another day of inspiration.
